  • Gel failure in shoe

I own a pair of Nunn Bush Cameron shoes that are very confortable and seemed to be durable. However, after about 4 months of wearing the shoes, I noticed that my left sock heel was sticky at the end of the day. The gel insert in the shoe heel had ruptured and the gel material was getting on my sock. The shoes show little sign of wear otherwise. I had an earlier pair of Camerons and the heel gels lasted the long life of the shoe. I feel that this shoe was defective, but lasted beyond the time I could return it to the store (I also bought the shoes a few months before I started wearing them).... More...

Dear Sirs, several years ago I purchased a pair of Nunn Bush tan model #33765 shoes. I got them out and wore them the other day for the first time in a long time. When I got up to leave the restaurant I noticed some red stuff on the floor. Didn't think anything about it until I got home and took them off. The sole of the right shoe and the heel of the left shoe are falling appart. The tops still look great. They have been worn very little. Is this a problem you have seen before with these shoes?

"genuine leather upper" does that mean plastic coated pleather upper? Every piece of "genuine leather" is blistering the thinest layer of "leather", thin as a piece of paper, from atop a surface that scratches with a fingernail and flakes off small pieces not like real leather. Very let down. Needed a pair of dress shoes not a pair of work boots, that i am used to, made in china, that part was truth full, however blistering "genuine leather" is most certainly not truth full. Really turned off from your brand and will not make the same mistake again. RED WING for me! FOR EVER! Leather means LEATHER!

I purchased a pair of Bartole (KORE) through Kohls about four months ago. After about a month and a half of wear, I started noticing that the "leather" had developed cracks and was peeling away in layers. For the price of the shoes, I am very disappointed in the quality of the materials and the craftsmanship. I will probably not consider Nunn Bush again.

I purchased a pair of NunnBush slip-ons with an aggressive tread sole about 1.5 yrs ago. They had very little use until the last 6 months for work (carpet and tile surfaces. The problem is there is a 1.2" square of the tread that popped out of the sole under the heel of BOTH shoes, allowing moisture to seep into the shoe. This was unexpected and disappointing for the wear and quality of the shoe.

I have had great luck with the Nunn Bush Cameron shoes. I owned 2 pair and wore them daily for several years! They held up exttremely well and still looked good.
4 Months ago I replaced both pair and just noticed both are wearing out "prematurely" The sole of the left heal on both pair are wearing out and the soles are detaching from the shoes (left only). To answer the unspoken question, I am 15 pounds lighter (185 pounds) than I was when I had the last pair of shoes.
I am assuming the quality of your product is suffering along with our economy but would like to hear from you that there was a production problem with the left shoes that has been corrected.
